Recently I started working with a young male Brazilian client (age 28) who has a history of low testosterone levels.
He got his first testosterone reading in September 2019 due to sleep problems and erectile dysfunction.
It came out at 256 NG/DL (range 300-1100 NG/DL), thereby putting him at a level similar to an +80 year old man.
He started resistance training in November 2019 however he saw minimal visible results.
He checked his testosterone levels again shortly after and the level was even lower, 110 NG/DL.
In January 2020 he started testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and the effects on his mood, erections and libido were amazing, however he still saw no visible results from his training.
At the time, he had a different coach and did a heavy barbell training program but constantly got aches and pains in the joints and saw no results.
Shortly after this, he went off testosterone replacement therapy because he wanted to become fertile to get his girlfriend pregnant. (Testosterone replacement therapy reduces fertility greatly since it shuts down your testicles).
After going off TRT, he felt terrible again due to his testosterone levels crashing.
He remained in this state for the majority of 2020.
I September 2020 he came to consult with me to optimize his natural testosterone production and get lean and muscular with a bodyweight training approach.
I created a 30-40 min home workout regimen and testosterone boosting diet plan for him.
Within just 2 weeks on the Online Transformation Program, he started seeing results in the way he felt:
“I think your diet and tips for micronutriente were a huge spot on. I was drinking too much protein shakes and I wasn’t feeling ok with food. Now, following your program, I’m feeling better in almost every aspect (see my biofeedback sheet).”
After 8 weeks on the program, he told me that for the first time in his life he started getting compliments from girls about his body.
Here are some excerpts from the email:
“With these pictures in hand, anyone can claim plausibly that your program is working for me better than anything I tried before. And I have lots of more pictures to compare (these were the first in my cellphone gallery at hand). I’m still a little bit skinny but, for the first time in my life, I’m receiving compliments from girls because of my body (!). It never happened before. In the last times, 3 girls told me compliments specially because of my back (pull ups are really a great exercise).”
During this time, he got his first pull up ever, added 4 CM to the shoulders and lost 6 CM on the waist. Bodyweight decreased around 3 KG:
After this email, I had him check his testosterone levels.
His free testosterone came out near the top of the range:
In his last test this year which was taken before he touched TRT, his free testosterone levels were at 5.7 NG/DL.
Now he has 18.57 NG/DL which puts him at the top of the range. (The range goes from roughly 3.4 NG/DL and 24.6 NG/DL).
In other words, he boosted his free testosterone levels with roughly 226% so far on my program and he has been on it for less than 12 weeks.
To add to this, the new testosterone test was taken in suboptimal conditions. He’s still dealing with his sleep problem and in the 2 days prior to the test he mentioned that he had bad sleep, therefore he was expecting a relatively low value and thought he may need to retake the test. I’m sure that once his sleep is dialed in, his testosterone will get even higher.
With a proper training and diet regimen in place, you can massively boost your natural testosterone levels — even if you’re a skinny-fat guy with a naturally low production.
Your body has the ability to produce healthy levels of testosterone if you allow it to through an optimized lifestyle.
Be proud but stay hungry!
