My name is Oskar Faarkrog, I’m an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, and I’m the founder of the fitness website SkinnyFatTransformation.com which has over 100,000 monthly readers.
Growing up, I used to be skinny-fat and I wanted to change that very badly because it affected my confidence in all areas of life.
I got introduced to bodybuilding in February 2010 where I came across the bodybuilding.com forums and read everything I could get my hands on.
Just like most people, I started out following the popular advice of eating a lot of protein and training with heavy weights.
I would pack tuna and eggs with me when going for classes, drink protein powder multiple times each day and do my heavy squats, bench presses and deadlifts.
Needless to say, after 2 years of consistent training, I still looked the same.
Compared to my friends, it seemed like my body just didn’t respond to training and diet.
This all changed in the middle of 2012 when I decided to ditch the heavy weights and high protein diets.
I started doing a lot of chin ups and diamond push ups and eating a more balanced diet that didn’t have as much protein.
After mastering bodyweight exercises and eating a more balanced diet, I got better results than ever before.
Overall, I lost 60 pounds of fat, gained more than 40 pounds of muscle mass and became comfortable in my own skin for the first time in my life.

Prior to my transformation I had never been able to do a single chin up or push up, when I flexed my biceps NOTHING happened and I had never had any definition on my abs.
So it was a big breakthrough for me to finally get the results I was looking for.
